It's been ridiculously warm all week...
getting up past 70 most days
teasing us into thinking that maybe spring is here.
I went on a walk tonight to take advantage of it.
Those last few minutes of sunlight
as the sun slowly slips out of sight
and then the moments that follow,
as the sky around you slowly gets bluer and bluer,
the air gets a little breezier
and the whole world seems to calm down for a moment.
Those are my absolute favorite 30 minutes in any day.
I took this as I walked back up to my house tonight...
I just loved the way it looked,
all the warmth spilling out everywhere
being able to hear drifts of little voices inside
because the windows were opened wide
to let the sweet soft air in.
lovely, yes?
